This award recognises initiatives that improve economic and social well-being outcomes for Australians through demonstrated leadership within the data landscape.

This includes the use of data strategy, data governance or data discovery that led to improved outcomes for Australians by maximising the value of data in a safe and secure manner.

Nominations should include data management initiatives that leveraged data assets to support evidence-based decision making and data driven cultures to enable entities to uplift capability, innovate, or meet their strategic objectives. 

This award also recognises initiatives that improved data literacy across the APS or with the public through initiatives such as education, training, courses, and/or data competency frameworks.

All nominations should demonstrate the impact and measurable benefits delivered.
